Kai just got chosen to be a tribute for District Four in the 72nd Hunger Games. She should be panicking, saying goodbye to her loved ones, squaring her shoulders, and preparing to take human lives for the first time in her life- to make decisions that no person should ever have to make. Instead, she's sitting peacefully in an empty room, her brow furrowed as she plans out her next move. Why is she so calm and collected, planning her next move instead of worrying about the murder she's going to be forced to commit? The answer to that is simple. Kai's killed before - more people than she'd ever like to admit - and she's willing to do it again. -- His head snaps up, immediately finding my figure.
