This is an AU where they meet when they were just kids. Even tho Zaroff is from Russia and Rainsford is from America, they somehow bump into each other. While Zaroff was dealing with the Soviet Union and America was going through the cold war, they still could not bare to kill nor spy on one-another. They love each other deeply.
