SAWIIF
It was always them.
Always Luke and Matt.
Even after one moved across the state.
It had always been them.
Until it wasn't.
Letters still arrived at his house, one after another. Hid away in a box under his bed, but never opened after what had happened.
He couldn't, he was scared, scared to loose the now only person he cared for as well.
So he did it himself, not replying, not reading what the other had to say.
Slowly loosing himself in his head instead.
-
He returned. They couldn't stay there, staying where they lost something - no someone - who kept that family going, together. Trying to run away from the place that kept reminding them what had happened, what they'd lost, what he lost.
He build a wall around himself, shielding him from emotions he was too scared to feel, emotions that could get him crushed like a wave - again.
-
But what if - what if the person he thought he had lost as well, the one he abandoned, is the one who slowly but steady breaks through this wall. Showing him it's okay to feel again, to except to be scared of things - showing him he doesn't have to go alone through this ocean of feelings.
