Nothing Lasts Forever. That's what I was told growing up and it's what I believed. My family was always happy when I grew up but my mother raised me to believe that I didn't and shouldn't need to depend on anyone in life for my own happiness or anything for that matter. Strangely enough, it led me to never attaching myself to people. Now that I'm in college and as independent as I can be, I feel things start to change for me but I can't break my old habits as much as I wish I could. It scares me.
