March 16th. The day Oliver Sykes and Josh Franceschi had planned to run away together. They were practically strangers, yet they knew each other's darkest secrets. Oli was popular. His parents were never home. He secretly hated party's, his friends and the rumours everyone spread about him. He kept the darkness inside of him where no one could see it. He was running away from the dark cloud above his head that seemed to follow him wherever he goes. Josh had no friends. His dad doesn't care. His mum died years ago. He secretly lusted for the freedom of another city where he wouldn't be invisible anymore. He craved the adrenaline that made him feel again, which hasn't happened in a very long time.

On his mission on seeking revenge he loses to stay on track and gets distracted by a pretty blue eyed boy, Josh Franceschi. Will Josh change the darkness of Oli's ways or will he only just lead him straight to the one he wants the most? Oli and Josh have been long distance best friends since forever, but what will happen when Oli moves no where other then into Josh's house and steps into the insanely divided highschool which is ruled by two groups. One of those groups is Josh's, but what will happen when Oli finds himself in the middle of the two enemies not sure where to go because on one side there's things that he loves and acceptence and on the other there is Josh? Josh who's starting to act weird leaving Oli questioning himself and his feelings.

Oliver Sykes lives on the North side of town. People avoid him in the corridors, paranoid that the rumours about him are true. Everyone has heard the horrific stories about the crime his dad committed, that ripped his families reputation in half. Josh Franceschi lives on the South side of town. He's popular, cheerful and innocent, always trying to make everyone around him smile, even social-outcast Oli Sykes.

If only Oli knew how shady Lee really was, then maybe he wouldn't be in this situation..... this was the first fan fic i ever wrote so it's pretty shit in my eyes when i look back on it- This story is also on Archive Of Our Own under the same name. #2 in fransykes [11/12/21]

Better, more detailed and heart wrenching version may be posted if enough people wish it so!!! - Josh and Oli have been best friends for a long time. Oli is troubled, it's obvious. But Josh is gone beyond repair. You wouldn't think that a boy who acts so happy would be so sad. Josh just keeps pushing his secrets down further and further until he can't anymore.

Maybe in another life we would have met in normal circumstances, but not this one.

Oli is a bouncy happy boy, duh, everybody knows he's got bounce. Josh on the other hand has a boring job with a boring wife. What happens when over-excited Oli meets the dull miserable Josh The description sucks but it's better than no description? This is really just a practice story to see if I can write in 3rd person pov, normally I write in first person. have fun reading
