"You don't try to double cross a person like Rick and expect to leave unscathed. He will always find out and get his revenge, no matter what." Roman said quietly. My response died in my mouth as I watched Rick and his men rush over towards the car. As soon as the men had piled in, I revved the engine before speeding off. Loud voices filled the car as the rowdy men scrambled to discard any evidence and blood that had stained their hands. Restraining myself from displaying disgust at their actions, I silently drove off into the dark night with Roman's words echoing in my mind. This was my life. And I would never find an escape. -------- Deceit, abuse, and starvation had become Isabella Wright's life at a young age. Torn from her family as a child, she is forced to live under someone's command. Her kidnappers command. She is close to losing hope, until she is granted a glimmer of freedom. Split between her old lifestyle, and the life she had always desired, Isabella will soon realize where she belongs in her life full of betrayal, lies, and pain.

The cold man fell in love with the kind girl because he knew that she deserved the world and that he wanted to be the one who gave it to her. ♡ Alette Faye was a sweet girl. She was exceptionally kind and had an air of simplicity. Between her part-time job at the bakery, her classes, her time spent tending to her flowers and walking in the fields, she didn't get the opportunity to experience much. Her past created fears in her that she seemingly couldn't overcome, and then she met him. For when she meets him, she should have run away in fear, but she stayed. She stayed and she opened her big heart for a man who found his heart, just for her. ♡ This story is a little cliché, a lot unedited, and super simple.

BEFORE YOU READ- DISCLAIMER! The main character is blunt, hates life and is very vulgar and hateful towards everyone and everything . However there is a reason for this. She is strong-headed and short-tempered, ill-mannered and disrespectful (though some may say in a loveable way). If this isn't for you, then I wouldn't suggest reading this book. It's about character development and personal growth. - Kody Lawrence is not normal. On the contrary, she's everything but. When the hot-headed, short-tempered, rude new girl arrives in the small town of Raven Hollow, Maine, most people are put off by her unexpected and -considering her horrible attitude and pessimism- unwanted appearance. However, despite her constant locked jaw, clenched fists and cold glare, Lilah Johansson, Kody's appointed 'buddy', can't help but want to be her new friend in spite of their not-so-impressive first impression. But Lilah is not to be sold separately, and with the friendly redhead comes four boys with charming smiles and welcoming arms that hide their own secrets and covered-up lies. Amongst the group of five, Dakota Black is the one who stands out with his calculating eyes and kind heart, and while Kody has no intention to stick around longer than a few months, he might just be the one to change that. With a duffel bag of money, a box-filled with different identities, a pocket full of problems and a closet stacked to the brim with secrets, Kody's quiet and peaceful Senior year takes a couple of unexpected turns. The only question is: Are they for better or for worse? ___ (Small disclaimer: The first few chapters aren't the greatest, but I took some time off from writing this book and came back to it when I'd gotten a bit better with writing, so if you can get past the rocky start, hopefully you won't regret it). ___ Re-published: 7.4.18 (7th of April) Finished: 9.3.20 (9th of March) Currently editing and correcting mistakes / plot holes. (Editing chapters at random)

*Can not be read as a stand-alone- it will not make sense.* With new starts come new adventures- or so Kody Lawrence has recently found out. With feelings she never knew she could develop, friends she never thought she'd have, and a town she didn't quite hate as much as all the others, anyone would think Kody's life was starting to improve. But with Kody comes chaos, disaster and pain. And Dakota Black. And with Dakota comes confusion, feelings and problems. Feelings Kody knows nothing about and problems she could definitely do without. Throw Mac, Ricky and the group of unnamed suits into the mix, Kody and Dakota have one hell of senior year to get through. Will the pressure make or break them? Or will they be able to get through it with the help of one another? Besides, things get even harder when Kody's mysterious past catches up to her a lot quicker than she would've hoped for. __ "I think you do love. But I also think you're so emotionally damaged that your perception of love is almost as fucked up as you are. But you can love- I've seen it." Published: 20.3.2020 (20th of March)
