The small town of Ridgewood is shocked when the pale and frozen corpse of a teenager is discovered. But there's more than meets the eye to this grisly scene; the death hides a terrifying secret. A horror that extends beyond the barriers of the physical world and into an labyrinth of other worlds and strange places. Tasked with unraveling the mystery, Roberta Arlington struggles to cope as her world falls apart. And, though aided by her friends - and, indeed a few odd eccentrics - a sudden, unseen evil stirs inside her and threatens to do far worse than take yet another victim. ***** Inside Evil is a paranormal mystery set in a small town on the borders of England and Scotland. Like so many similar places, its residents cannot help but be drawn into each others lives, as they rarely venture from their seclusion. But, with such isolation comes danger, and whilst the world is blissfully unaware, an ancient terror is preparing for murder. Lacey Waits has gotten too comfortable appealing to the good natures of the spirits she can communicate with. See, these spirits, they breathe salt on the little sills and doorways to keep the evil out. But when she moves back to Iowa for the spring and a little Jane Doe asks for her help in bringing justice to her gruesome murder - and when Lacey subsequently denies her request - the restless spirits see no reason to stick around, allowing demons and ghouls with lesser-than-holy intentions to wreak havoc. Caught in constant danger, it's up to Lacey to get on the case of Jane Doe's death, rescue a childhood friend from a string of missing persons cases, and regain the good graces of the dead before she joins them at the hand of evil entities and water that just keeps on rising. *Previously featured on the @mystery profile* *Featured on @Paranormal's "Life After Death" reading list* *Featured on @Ghost's "Bustling Ghosts" reading list* *Featured on @crime's "Policing the Paranormal" reading list* *cover by cosettetapes*

Rachel, a junior assistant in the cargo bay, wasn't prepared for the spaceship's AI to gain awareness during what should have been a routine update, nor had anyone expected it to take exception to the crew and the crates of illegal cargo aboard. Rachel races against time to try and get life-saving systems back online while stranded in the middle of deep space. Unfortunately for her, the AI can access every system, door, and airlock. As truths emerge, the AI realizes that even computers can make miscalculations, and it focuses on the young woman who had dared to confront it. Rachel is left floundering when the AI decides that she would make an excellent captain, albeit one in need of training. As she struggles to learn her new duties and dodge shady government groups, she must ultimately discover what it truly means to be a Starship Captain. ------- There is no romance in this story. Mike's a vampire. A particularly arrogant and obnoxious vampire, despite having no one on his side (except for his cat). But when he's shoved in a unit of other young vampires to solve the case of a stalker following one of his bosses around - and whether or not she's a threat to the secret of vampire society - he needs to cooperate with others. Which he hates, obviously, so he tries to pretend as if he's too stupid to be asked anything that would require an effort. One crucial question remains: can they solve this very simple, very straightforward case, or will Mike will be stupid enough to try to have sex with the stalker? And when that will inevitably happen, can he cover it up without being caught by anyone on his team? (Cover art by @/Tegabiart on Twitter.)
