Hogwarts has reopened after six months of rebuilding. All of the previous seventh years have been invited to return to school to redo the year that they missed whilst fighting for the successful defeat of the Dark Lord. Most people are feeling elation, happiness, and relief at the newfound freedom in the wizarding community, but not Hermione Granger. The war changed most people for the better, like Draco Malfoy, who is now seeking redemption for his actions. Hermione is now a broken mess and seems to have lost all positive emotion, after the torment of the war and not being able to replace her parents memories, she needs help.

Workers of the Ministry for Magic had been send out to find Hermione's parents and when they had found them in Australia, they had brought them to the Ministry where they undid Hermione's memory-erase spell on them. Hermione had gone back home to be with her parents, Harry had gone with Ginny and Ron back to the Weasley's home and Draco Malfoy had returned to the cold and dark Malfoy Manor with his mother.
