Every time I publish a chapter on my baby, Dare: Fake a Boy, I type out a bonus scene featuring a character, the reader a.k.a. You and Me the always amazing, annoying, elusive AmoraProfunde. ;) Nope, not swollen headed at all :-) Anyways, I was so proud of this mini scenes I type out on the spot, I have decided to give them a book of their own. Mix cross-continent shifting , wounded people , a crazy dare and Ashmi Chakraborty? You get trouble. Ashmi is wounded by the traumatic experience of seeing her parents die in a accident. Always stubborn, she is determined to be strong for others and hide how much pain she is going through. When circumstances force her to leave India and go to USA with her uncle and partner in crime, cousin RJ, her friends come up with a plan to bring back playful Ashmi. They dare her to Fake a boy till lunchtime and get a girl to ask Ash on a date. Challenges and pranks were something Ash could never turn down, so she takes up the challenge. The unexpected happens. Ashmi pulls it off so well that the queen bee of the school, Veronica asks 'him' out. Ouch! With the whole incident on social media, Veronica's enmity and challenges of the bruised egos of boys, Ashmi has to hold her own and carve out her place. Which would have been easy except for the emotional baggage from the accident. No biggie? But will the pain she is hiding remain hidden? Will Ashmi let herself go of the guilt which is breaking her?
