"I'm gonna do it." She said moving closer to the edge of the bed, "I'm on the edge; literally. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna jump off." She giggled slightly. "Do it." I said with a bright smile on my face. Her eyebrows were pushed together sadly, "you won't go to the bottom and catch me?" She asked looking into my eyes. I shook my head no, "I'll be right next to you as you fall. Why should I be at the bottom if you don't want to be here? And I'm sure as hell not going to let myself walk this earth without you. So I'll be with you at a better place." I grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to me. She laid my head on my chest and closed her eyes. "And out of all these things I've done, I would love you better now." Sang my laptop, and maybe I'll see her in that better place a littler sooner than I'd expect.

In the year 2013, Earth is attacked by an alien race that destroys the planet and puts an end to civilization. Three hundred years into the future, humans had migrated to a group of hidden caves located in the midst of the highest mountains. The story follows Jemma, a twenty year old who was born and lived all her life in the caves. But when one of the people closest to her is forced to leave, she is left with no choice but to venture on a dangerous journey that will reveal the most shocking truths about the aliens, about Earth and about Jemma herself.
