After moving from Tokyo to Miyagi due to her father's job, and to follow the invitation of a professor, Sakura Nakamura didn't plan on becoming the boys' volleyball team coach assistant, much less end up training with them. But when Michimiya suggests she practice with the boys to build strength, Sakura accepts. After all, her height has always meant working twice as hard. What she didn't expect was to get lost on her first day and meet Yamaguchi, sweet, awkward, and the kind of guy who offers to walk her to the gym. Even more unexpected? That his best friend would be Tsukishima Kei: tall, sarcastic, arrogant, and apparently allergic to human interaction. From the very first exchange, Sakura and Tsukishima clash like oil and water. He mocks. She fires back. He sets boundaries. She ignores them. But as practices go on, the teasing turns into banter, the rivalry into routine, and the awkward silences into something neither of them is ready to admit. And without meaning to, the girl with the headphones and a head full of books becomes more than just a skilled libero, she becomes the ray of sunshine that lights up Karasuno's gym. Because sometimes, between matches, hyper fixations, and passive-aggressive comments, feelings grow without asking for permission. And that... that's just so high school.

"They say love is a battlefield. For Sakuragi Nao, it started with a glare across the classroom and ends with a green hoodie she never meant to return." Sakuragi Nao is many things--a photography nerd, a tap dancer, a stubborn overthinker, and unfortunately, someone who's been paired with the most aggravating boy in her class for a group project. Tsukishima Kei is tall, blunt, and insufferably smug. She's convinced he was sent by the universe to test her patience. He thinks she's loud, nosy, and too dramatic for her own good. What starts as awkward, tension-filled group meetings quickly unravels into stolen glances, lots of (friendly) teasing, and something dangerously close to flirting. Neither of them want to admit what's really going on-not when their arguments are easier than honesty, and teasing feels safer than sincerity. But feelings don't stay buried forever. And by the time they realize it, they're already in too deep. [Book cover credits to: annetphotoshoplove (on Pinterest)]

Aisa Nozue never intended to return to volleyball. Not as a player, and certainly not as an assistant coach for Karasuno. But when Ukai sees her analytical mind as an asset, she finds herself back in a gym she never planned to step into. Reserved, sharp, and always three steps ahead, Aisa isn't here to make friends; Especially not with Tsukishima Kei, whose dry wit and calculated detachment mirror her own a little too well. What starts as indifference quickly shifts into something neither of them can define: a rivalry of logic, a quiet competition, and an unspoken understanding that neither is ready to acknowledge. Because in the game of margins and milliseconds, the biggest miscalculation is underestimating each other.
