The Poetic Edda is a compilation of myths in a poetic form, using the Codex Regius as a basis. It is usually attributed to Sæmund Sigfússon, a priest and scholar from Iceland. This version was translated by Benjamin Thorpe, in 1866.
*Many of the poems' names have changed over the years. The english translation provided here is fairly old, so it would make sense as to why it would change.
