To prevent the world from getting destroyed by the bomb entity Zero-Nine, all of the immortal gods, including Rimuru, have to sacrifice themselves. As a result, they were sealed along with the bomb. Now after a 100,000 years have passed, the world is now a completely different place, with no sign of anyone from the old world anywhere. They all died due to war or passage of time.
