So never look at a dog and think that their life has been, being born and then adopted because most likely there is so much more to it... Chocolate is a purebred German Shepard. It is an (obviously) unspoken rule of dogs that purebreds are lucky. They are more likely to be adopted and have happy lives. But nothing about Chocolate's life is happy. Will that change? Paws the puppy is taken from his mother and home in the wild and given to a family for Christmas. When he accidentally harms the child, he's heartlessly abandoned in the cold winter woods. Paws is alone... until he discovers other dogs like him. The dogs struggle to stay free and happy, but human beings are dangerous creatures.

Abby has no idea what she's getting into when she adopts Henry from the local animal shelter. The dog is crazy smart. And a little creepy with how much he seems to understand. Henry is so confused. He remembers being a man, and doing manly things. Like buying socks. But here he is, covered in fur, and wagging an unfamiliar tail in this apartment belonging to a kind but scattered woman. What's a slobbering dog-man supposed to do? This is a story I wrote years ago, when a friend said, "You should write a story about a man who turns into a dog!" I said, "Uhh... okay."
