Ava Starr was 7 when her life was inevitably ruined, her parents were dead and she fell into the hands of S.H.E.I.L.D, at first everything was fine she was placed with a man named Bill Foster but after a few months of testing a man, Alexander Pierce, took an interest in her and Ava never saw Bill again, instead she was subjected to years of abuse, horror, and pain. He promised to cure her, and while they did build a containment suit and chamber, the pain never ceased. One day Pierce gave her a new mission, with his 'Asset', he was emotionless, cold, withdraw, even more so than Ava was ever taught to be, like he was shaped to be perfect. They went on many missions together, they spent days together and he eventually grew close to her, they were a powerhouse of strength, The Ghost and The Soldier. He expressed how he felt different around her, he felt everything he was taught not too, Ava returned those feelings, feelings of love. Eventually Pierce discovered those feelings and he was ripped from her grasp and Ava never saw him again, not until late 2025, 11 years after the love of her life disappeared, and he has no recollection of her.

The story follows the main character Elizabeth Bennet as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in the society of the landed gentry of early 19th-century England.
