Not much has happened since she moved into the Avengers compound, and she's okay with that. She spends most of her time helping the newest Avenger, Wanda Maximoff, hone her raw strength, which is no easy feat. Natasha's happy to help until both of them start to have a few unfortunate realizations. Like maybe that twinge in Natasha's gut is jealousy, and maybe Wanda has a thing for women who could kill her a million different ways. (Slow-ish burn, post-Age of Ultron, takes place between AOU and Civil War when the six new Avengers are living together in the compound.)

"What happened?" Nat's voice was so low Wanda could hardly hear what she was saying. "Why did you do that to me? Ghost me, no clarity, not a word?" she said this with a hint of impatience it made Wanda feel even worse. "I'm sorry..." She started, her accent coming through a little. Nat loved her accent, but she hated how her stomach twisted into knots and she completely lost her cool when she looked into those eyes, swirls of grey, green and brown, the color was deep steadfast and penetrating. "I should not have been so harsh on you..." She continued, "I was looking for someone to blame, someone to take my sadness out on instead of-" she stopped abruptly, those perfe- awful eyes glistening with tears.
