When Mean and Plan first signed up for the roles of Tin and Can in the Love by Chance series they both started out straight as a pole. By the end of the series they had become as bent as a rainbow's arc. What happened in between? This is a fan fiction. Not a single event in this story happened in real life. Many years after becoming immortal due to the legendary "Book of Six Harmonies," Wen Kexing discovered a hidden lake somewhere on the snowy mountain. The pristine reservoir had always been frozen, and it was only during the peak of summer like this did the layers of ice covering the surface would melt to reveal the expanse of clear blue concealed underneath. Excited by this pleasant discovery, Wen Kexing thus invited his <em>zhiji</em> for a swim. Zhou Zishu was concerned, though, for he was known as many things but a good swimmer. Unbeknownst to him, it was not the risk of drowning that he should fear, but the passion of the man whom he had chosen as a soulmate.

Wen Kexing died on the mountain. The now immortal Zhou Zishu was left in that cold armory all by himself...until a thousand years later, a man appeared on the mountain who looked exactly like Wen Kexing. A canon divergence/alternate universe where Wen Kexing reincarnated into Gong Jun, but Zhou Zishu remained the same as he was in the past.
