She sank to the floor, knees pulled in, her breath unsteady. "Some nights I feel like I'll disappear," she whispered.
Ehan moved without urgency, lowering himself beside her. His hand found her arm, steady, warm-then gently, carefully, he drew her closer. She didn't resist.
He shifted, guiding her onto his lap, slow enough to let her pull away, but she didn't. His arm settled around her, holding her there, while his other hand moved through her hair-soft, unhurried, smoothing it back, then lingering.
Her head rested against his chest. For a moment, she stilled-listening his heartbeat-steady, unrushed.
"Then I'll stay awake with you," he murmured, his voice low above her, "until you remember you're still here."
Her fingers tightened slightly against his shirt. She buried her face into the side of his neck, the restraint slipping as quiet sobs escaped her. Her fingers clutched at his shirt, holding on like it was the only thing keeping her grounded.
Ehan's arm tightened around her back, pulling her closer against his chest. He didn't say anything. Didn't ask her to stop. Just held her there, closer than before, letting her stay in the space she had finally allowed herself to fall into.

Pakhi is like a small bird - quiet, careful, and carrying hidden scars from a world that never made room for her. She expresses herself through her writing, the only place she feels safe to be seen.
Ehan is like a full moon - bold, bright, and sometimes reckless, but with shadows of loss he can't hide. Where she hesitates, he moves with daring; where he burns too brightly, she offers calm.
In a world of darkness, the bird finds its way by the moon, and together they discover light even in the deepest shadows.
