Oddly it was for Xiao Zhan. He was a 31 years old bachelor, a painter and a writer. He encountered this novel which caught his interest. The male protagonist Lan Wangji was a righteous emperor, fought and ended up the life of the antagonist, Wei Wuxian and bought peace to the empire. Yet after that, the story turned into a nonsense stallion harem themed novel. The female lead, Mianmian disappeared without any explanation why. He cursed and cursed when the protagonist, Lan Wangji ends up taking his own life during the epilogue. He cursed the author, why? He spent countless of sleepless nights just to finish that novel, for what? All for nothing. The next morning when he wakes up. He found himself as the antagonist Wei Wuxian, who will suffer a cruel death under the hands of Lan Wangji... Or will he? Or will he not?
