Alongside him is a sentient Al and a mysterious jackal called Infinite, who is hellbent on capturing Surge, keeping Princess Rosalina imprisoned, and fulfilling an oath he made with Bowser. Despite the cosmic chaos, Shadow the Hedgehog tags along as well after escaping Bowser and Metal Overlord's wrath.
