Abandoned by her friends, Samantha is left to enjoy their girls' weekend at the rodeo and music fest by herself. Jake and Josh, rising stars in the rodeo world, have fame and fortune at their fingertips. Riding is their high, but with it comes the low, being pursued by aggressive women. Having multiple women is not their plan; having one is. A chance meeting between Samantha, the good Christian girl with the heart for helping others, and Jake and Josh, best friends from birth, will set off changes that none of them saw coming. Samantha suggests that she could pretend to be their girlfriend to help. Could faking a relationship with the guys stop the unwanted attention? Or will it lead to more issues? Can the boys help Samantha to come to terms with who she really is? No matter what, this summer will change their lives for ever. Disclaimer: This is an original m/f/m reverse harem (RH) YA/NA fictional story.

"She had this thought. Not about choking hazards on children's toys or fatal car crashes, but a thought about how Skylar was not entirely a person. He was more like an ocean with violent currents; one of the seven seas with skin and bones and teeth. He was waterlogged with despair; bad weather with the premonition of a hurricane. And she thought that she finally understood why they named hurricanes after humans. But she lived in Arizona all of her life; she had never seen a hurricane, and she found that fitting because she had never seen anything like him either." He was as tragic as a hurricane. She was as volatile as a tornado. But when Skylar and Scout collided, they were bound for the sun. NOTE: Art for book cover by Budi Kwan.

Avery Wilson likes to light matches. Not light matches as in light-matches-and-set-things-on-fire-like-Matthew-Trinson-down-the-street, but lighting matches. Just lighting them. And then blowing them out. Avery loves the sounds of the head of the match scraping against the side of the box, the sound of fire being brought to life. But when the unthinkable happens, Avery is forced to move in with her former step-mother, and leave everything she has ever known behind. Feeling hopeless and blue, Avery takes to stalking the streets of the downtown, exploring every nook and cranny, finding things that no one has before. The dingiest bookstores and dustiest shops are prey to Avery’s wandering, including that of a former artist. His small building is not much bigger than Avery’s room, but it contains the finest artists of the city, including a quiet prodigy who goes by the initials T.H. Avery, when alone, calls him The Poet and thinks that they’ll only ever meet in that dusty room. She takes solace in his work, and looks forward to seeing what his genius produces. But the Poet has some problems of his own, as does every artist, and begins to seek out Avery, asking for her advice. Not knowing that he’s not the only one with vices as well as virtues.
