𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐨𝐬. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐚𝐦. . . . There are things you're taught not to do. Rules you're told to follow. People you're meant to forget. Flora never planned to end up here, but after one too many mistakes, her life dives for rock bottom. Now, she's trapped in a world she doesn't understand, haunted by a past she can't outrun. And at the center of it all stands the boy she'd sworn to forget. What once was fate, fractures into an illusion and twist into something dangerously evil. They were kids together. Friends together. 𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯'𝘵. She's new. 𝘏𝘦'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵. She's fresh meat. 𝘏𝘦'𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦. What happens when they reunite? Secrets unfold. Chaos runs free. And the line between love and ruin sharpens into a thin blade, as history proves to repeat itself in its cruelest form. A girl. A boy. And a mad house that feeds on sin. When former Marine Captain Emily Holmes joins NCIS, she expects a new beginning - not a return to the battlefield she thought she'd left behind. Brilliant, controlled and unnervingly perceptive, Emily sees patterns no one else does. Crime scenes unfold in her mind with surgical clarity. Motives snap into place. Lies unravel. And every time she's right - which is often - Leroy Jethro Gibbs hates it just a little bit more. He doesn't trust easily. He doesn't like surprises. And Emily Holmes is both. From case to case, Emily's instincts cut through chaos with frightening precision. Her military past gives her an edge the team can't ignore - and a darkness she refuses to explain. While Tony tries to decode her secrets, Kate begins to see the woman behind the discipline and McGee quietly admires the mind that never stops working. But Emily's greatest challenge are.n't the cases. It's the man leading the team. Gibbs sees too much. Emily hides too well. And the truth between them is a fuse waiting to be lit. In a world where every clue is a threat and every agent carries scars, Emily Holmes must learn that survival isn't the same as belonging - and that some battles follow you home.

~ It is by Mene's word that new age has been born, a new world ~ Ezekiel Ruiz was unwillingly stuck between two worlds. He was a wild and that was where he found the most comfort, lost in the darkness while his wolf took over. But Amelia's Blessing had his wolf barring the darkness from him, refusing him his familiar comfort, the compulsion to find the viper he mated to screaming without the pain to drown it out. At times he felt like the blessing was a curse. ~ Change is always hard, and it is in our nature as wolves to fight it ~ Julieta Esperanza Valentina Cruz had always played by the rules, it was what she had been taught, it was what was fair. She had lived by them. Except that doesn't work when others refuse to play fair. Her brother's best friend banished from the pack, a fight but not. Then the moon saw fit to pair her with the victor and the world showed just how unfair it could be. Banished from her home, struggling to survive in a world that felt callous and cruel, Julieta struggled to hold onto hope but as the years dragged on it got harder and harder. Her hope disappeared entirely when the illegal rogues found her and took her. Sometimes she wished Mene's love wasn't so brutal. ~ But Mene guides us in our lives, listen to her loving whispers, she never gives us more than we can withstand ~ A singular night changes everything. Ezekiel makes a choice that topples his world into the clinging dredges of the past and Julieta comes face to face with a male she had once had a foolish little crush on what feels like lifetimes ago. However as they navigate the treacherous waters they have been flung into, they both learn that home is not a simple place, it's where you make it, and who you make it with. ~ You will reach your destiny, Mene wills it. ~

You know those romance novels that make you giggle, cry, and flush with embarrassment all at the same time? You know how there's always a moment where the guy briefly goes out with another girl for some reason or other? Maybe it's to make the girl he loves jealous, maybe it's because of a misunderstanding. Yeah, anyway, that girl that gets all of two seconds of his attention...ever wonder what happened to her? That was me. And this is my story. Well... Mine and the guy who taught me how to handle the "after." ---------------- A/N: This is definitely a different feel from Light the Fire--light, cute, and fluffy. I find there are a lot of dark and sad romances on Wattpad, and while I like reading those at times, I also really enjoy a romance that's more along the lines of a good snuggle by the fire where I can't help the smile that keeps stealing across my face. Hopefully this story will do that to you occasionally. Also, posting on this will be a little slower than Light the Fire as it's a side project, so make sure to add it to your library to get notified of chapter updates. As always, thank you for your support and hope you enjoy the story!

'Look at me, Celeste,' he gently lifts her chin up with the tips of his slender fingers. 'I'm right here, okay?' *** When Celestine Vora enrols at the elite Marion University to study medicine, the last person she expected to come face to face with was Adrian Schulz. Always condescending, never conceding. As her brother's best friend, he always caught glances of her in the background, the silent, quiet shadow of an adopted girl who never quite matched her brother's innate talent. One who always seemed to be a hindrance, his biggest competitor for valedictorian in high school. He was looking forward to a fresh start. That is, until she shows up in front of his apartment in the middle of the night, and shakily utters the words, 'He's missing.' ~ [This is a work of fiction. All events and characters are fake.]
