I would have stopped him from drinking so much but my tipsiness was clouding my rationality. "Maybe you could find someone to pretend to be your boyfriend just to show you know your sexuality." Yep, I was definitely drunk. "I have no friends except you and I can't pretend you're my boyfriend!" "Sure you could. Your dad would only need to see us hold hands or something."

Keith ran his hands through Lance's hair, trying to capture this moment forever. He couldn't stop the laugh that bubbled out of him. He was so happy, and felt so warm and numb. The moment was surreal, just him and Lance. ... Keith and Lance have been "friends" since high school, but everyone sees them more as rivals.
