Kaoru was famous. That was the simple truth. Everyone knew who she was, whether it was pro hunters or dirty thieves they all knew who she was. Kaoru grew up in an orphanage with nothing more than her extremely powerful Nen protecting her. Kaoru had learned Nen from reading books and studying the older kids who had been taught. She often ran away and got into trouble with older people. She had no memory of her past before she was taken into the orphanage though she was told she was found in Meteor city. At the age of 10, she ran away again, and this time she was never caught. Living off the streets of Yorknew city was an easy task for her, she was able to steal thousands of jenny before she finally settled down into a large house on the outskirts of the city. Kaoru took the hunter exam, passed then became an actress and model. From a young age, she marveled at becoming an actress and a model. Soon after enrolling Kaoru became a celebrity by her soft, dull baby-like features and angelic-like voice. Never wanting to be this popular and famous, she spends most of her time in her house cooped up never wanting to leave unless she had some work. After many kidnapping attempts, Kaoru hires 3 personal bodyguards to be with her at all times. Illumi Zoldyck, Hisoka Morrow, and Uvogin you didn't give her his last name. Every day, they woke her up, ate breakfast with her, and usually hung around until the day was over. Unnoticed by Kaoru, Uvogin had been a little more protective than any of them. A few years pass before all four of them split and go their own ways and follow their own dreams. Kaoru stays in Yorknew city and watches the Mafia grow into a large and powerful community. But that wasn't all that she was watching, a powerful group had caught her attention, and little did she know she had caught theirs too.

Kiya Miyako ( Zoldyck) looked like an ordinary girl. She walked and talked like one, but everyone has a dark secret and she was no different. Escaping her household with her younger brother Killua, they flee far away from their childhood never to look upon it again. Bored to tears, Miyako and Killua join the 287th Hunter exam. Leaving her younger brother for a while she ends up becoming friends with a rather charming clown. Picking up on his techniques she learns how to use Nen and Bungee gum which she has immense difficulties with at first but in the end, becomes sufficient with it. After the Hunter exam Miyaka and Hisoka depart ways only to realize how much they miss eacothers company. After reunited in a rather... odd situation feelings start to bloom for both of them.
