Journal Entry: SB-0001 December 18th, 2031 It has been about five months since the attack, and our meager fleet of ships are clinging to life. It all started with an interstellar signal. Sometimes, superstition has it right. It might not have been wrong to compare that dreadful signal to the blaring of the trumpets signaling the end of times. By the time they arrived, they knew us as if they had been watching us all along. Their invasion was swift, precise, and purpose-driven, ruined only by our own short-sighted counterattack that delayed the inevitable. And, during that delay, a small fraction of humanity managed to escape into the stars. With our homeworld of Earth gone in the blink of an eye, we are now forced to survive on modified cruiseliner starships and cling to life as our pursuers relentlessly hound us, the varying perils of space claw at our very existence, and our own simmering tensions threaten to break into a roiling turmoil. However, if there is one thing that gives me hope as I write this journal entry, it is that humanity can accomplish even the seemingly impossible through cooperation and willpower. Our story unfolding will put both of those to the test... Cover Illustrated by CherryInTheSun

Carisa's been running for her life the past two years. Loosing her loved ones and anyone she grows close to. The apocalypse was caused by an alien raise coming to earth and proclaiming they'll fix the planet. Their way to 'fix' it being destroying humanity with a plague. However they didn't expect the human body to be as persistent as it is, the infection they spread mutating and making humans reanimate with a hunger for flesh. They thought they could contain it, control it even, but it's spreading faster than they thought. The world is dying faster than ever before. And Carisa only want to survive, to make it to the next day, bumping into an Alien she thought she'd be petrified. But upon further inspection... their not that much different that humans. Curiosity at its peek with both of them and so she gains a tail always creeping behind her. The aliens just won't let her go. Story is written on my free time so it has a lot of typos, sorry. It's been marked #1 in "alien race" wow It's been marked #1 in "infection" I did not expect taht considering it's been finished a while now but hey interesting to have for however long it lasts. In order to embark on a mission to discover alien life on the icy moon of Jupiter Maria must leave her life on Earth behind, including her father and her seven-year-old son Diego. She thought the hardest part of the mission would be saying goodbye, but little does she know what awaits her and her crew on Europa, an environment that has never been explored from the surface until this mission. Perhaps alien life was never meant to be explored by humans... Will she fulfill her promise to her father and son to make it home alive, or will she fail to make good on that promise like her mother did when she was a little girl? Note: This story was written during a challenge to write an entire book in one week! I vlogged the whole process on my YouTube channel (Patrick Procrastinates Writing), my Instagram (@memesforwriters), and my TikTok (@memes4writers). Be sure to check those out if you want a behind the scenes on my writing process behind this project! I will continue to work on Europa, but I will not update this version as it shows what I was able to accomplish in the seven days of the challenge. Please let me know what you think (don't be afraid to be mean).

It makes perfect sense! How else can we explain the extraordinary disparity between human and primate evolutions? This was what archaeologist Bryan Stewart believed when he sought the cradle of the human race. Little did he expect his curiosity to set off a world event that would eventually flip the page and write or even delete the next chapter of humanity. For, the cradle holds the reason behind our existence.

Less than five months ago, lights appeared in the sky. Days later the ships started to arrive. They call themselves the Consortium. They are human, or at least Simian, descending from the same genetic line as humans. They terraformed this planet centuries ago, sent settlers a mere forty thousand years ago. Now they are back, ready to begin the exploration of this galaxy. For Cheyenne Walker, Chief Petty Officer aboard the Cambridge, a USS destroyer, the arrival of the Consortium is just one more obstacle to finishing her final tour of duty and getting home to her kids. The political upheaval forces the US into an uneasy alliance with the Consortium against China, and puts the Cambridge on the edge of a nuclear blast. Cheyenne wakes to find herself aboard the Corelean, a Consortium Medical Evacuation ship. Floating in a medi-tank, she wonders if they really can't repair the wreck of her body, whether these newcomers are friends or foes and most importantly, will she ever make it back to children?

Within twenty-four hours, thirteen year old Thea Fossil's life has been turned upside down. She arrives home late one night to find her astrophysicist mother dead, and she and her little sister are wounded by a mysterious poison from an unknown race of aliens called Imeldi. The next time she wakes up, she is in a SHIELD base, and is surrounded by a crowd of unusual characters that wary Thea has a hard time trusting, particularly when she has just been orphaned. There is Thor, the compassionate yet slightly intimidating Asgardian, but she considers him too eager to please. Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton both are too shadowy and curt for Thea to put her faith in. Tony Stark, she finds humorous, but at times self-centered and bossy. Dr. Banner, Thea admires, but his own dangerous secret is known to her. And Steve Rogers is far too upbeat for Thea's generally pessimistic liking. And then there is one other person. Someone with a tongue of wit, a personality of iron, and a mind as complicated as Gordian's Knot- just like Thea. Someone who knows how to soothe her fears just as quickly as he knows how to get under her skin. The person that is perhaps the most untrustworthy, but whom little Thea may begin to trust the most. Loki. But even if Thea can begin to trust, and to work as a team, the threat of the Imeldi is still potent and long-fingered. Thea must learn to control her new powers, her temper, and her hidden fire if she wants to survive this. Particularly because the Imeldi want two things. Global revenge. And Thea. RATED PG-13: For interval language (d*mn, as*, h*ll) and violence.

James Newman is just a normal, ordinary kid who enjoys hanging out with friends, blowing stuff up (it was an accident, promise!) and terrifying his parents. Or was at least, because on his 15th birthday, James was abruptly shot through time and space to a strange new planet. Unable to return to Earth, he must master fantastical powers and discover things that turn his world upside-down in order to stop the enemies of existence from destroying the universe entirely. So much fun! A/N: This is my first story, so constructive criticism is good for it. Share it with others if you like it! And I am having trouble figuring out if this is science fiction or fantasy...
