In the late nineties asexuality is all but ignored as an orientation. Jess doesn't understand her complex array of emotions or why she finds it so hard to relate to her fellow classmates. Catholic high schools and churches simply don't address the issue, and the internet is still nascent. Jess can't tell anyone the truth. Not even her best friend Care. Instead, she hides behind the guise of faith. Behind a mask of celibacy. Until she meets Eric, that is. He lets slip that he's asexual, and Jess wants to learn more. --- Watty Winner 2021 for best cover, best YA, and the Wattpad Books prize! --- Status: completed and unedited Rating: PG-15 for moderate language and frank discussions about sexuality Genre: teen fiction romance featuring two heteroromantic ace characters --- Cover designed using Canva Pro August 2020 --- Please note: This work is a teen fiction novelization of my multimedia novella "Mask of Celibacy".

{Book 1 in the Journey of Faith series} ❝Being gay is okay, and I think God thinks so, too. Won't you join me?❞ Of all the hot button topics in Christianity today, homosexuality is arguably the hottest. Just Googling "gay and christian" can return upwards of 300 million results. But what does the Bible really say? How can someone be both Christian and an ally or a member of the LGBTQ+ community? As a Christian, this is my view on the issue. I am not a Bible scholar, but I hope to shed light on why I do not believe that it is an oxymoron to be a queer Christian. ❝For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.❞ - John 3:16 Highest rank in: NON-FICTION {#12} #christian {#5} #christianity {#6} #bible {#8} #jesus {#8} Peaceful debates are encouraged, but hate speech and overt hostility will be deleted. ***THIS STORY WILL BECOME FREE ON JULY15th!*** Beverly Curie only lives for herself (and maybe ice cream). When her three nieces are suddenly put under her care, she must do the impossible: think about someone other than herself. Beverly is the only member of her family left in Chestnut Ridge, where she's kept the same routine for eight years: do as little work as possible during the day, marathon sitcoms in the evening, and try (for the life of her) to get everyone to leave her alone. When she loses her position at Red Ribbon's Craft Store, Beverly is left without a job and without a paycheck. Then her estranged sister, Aimee, calls with an impossible favor: Could Beverly take care of her three nieces for six months? It's insane. But then there's the thirty thousand dollars that Aimee offers to pay and Beverly can't resist. Suddenly, she's stuck taking care of three little girls, trying not to kill the soccer moms at the snobby Percival Academy, and joining the PTO. Now Beverly--self-serving, sarcastic, and problematic--must take on the role of a loving parent. And she is anything but. ★ NOW PUBLISHED! ★ Hookup Culture Noun The idea that casual sexual encounters are the best or only way to engage sexually in college, a set of practices that facilitate casual sexual encounters, and an organizational structure that supports them (Lisa Wade, American Hookup 2017). As a sociology major researching nightclubs, Laney Emerson finds hookup culture to be just another socially constructed phenomenon that is worth questioning, analyzing, and concluding about. As a twenty-something college student, Laney also finds herself immersed in the culture of hooking up, in which physically getting naked is often easier than admitting how you feel. © 2020 ℓαℓαℓαℓαwriting |ORIGINALLY A Short Story One-Shot (Walk of Shame) that received an HONORABLE MENTION in Romance Contest #12: Songspiration| *This story contains explicit language and implied sexual content*

Beautiful cover made by @Silverless! Ayan is the Princess of Mereti, a wealthy African nation that has made contact with the Europeans, or the Nechis, in the 18th century. In effort to stop themselves from going to war with the Nechi nation of Arania, a country that had the initial goal of colonizing an unwilling Mereti, they sign several alliance treaties and marry their children to bind themselves by blood once the awaited heir is finally born. The only problem is that Ayan never consented to this marriage. Or to moving thousands of miles away from her homeland. And she certainly isn't consenting to bearing the heir of the arrogant Aranian prince--no matter how charming he is.
