So far as is canonically established: og Cale is never a commander, never becomes sworn brothers with Alberu, never adopts any of the children that Kim Roksoo adopted. He's not Eruhaben's unlucky bastard and if he were to meet the elderly dragon, he'd have a different impression of him because they are different people.

Cale was similar to himself-Kim Rok Soo-in an assortment of things, but his reactions were not of someone who had given in. Cale and Kim Rok Soo were lovers. Met In Highschool and never left eachother since. Now its Kim Cale and Kim Rok Soo Husbands then the apocalypse came. A monster Killed Cale. but before Cale died he told Rok Soo to live. That is what he did. until Rok Soo died and they met again (this is my practice of writing lovers bit of plot but mostly fluff!)
