In a very grey part of an unknown city, Natalie An Fisk lives with the sole thought of becoming someone. She simply didn’t expect it to happen the way it did. After meeting seventeen-year-old George Carrington Barclay II, an avenger of rightful justice and a supposed philosopher of the despondent human mind, Natalie is thrown into a universe where watches are not simply watches, an Elizabethan queen is out to control history, and the world is infinitely more than it seems. A/N: Unedited first draft.

Recommended by Wattpad talent hunters, SINGULARITY! (Shameless advertising I know...) http://blog.wattpad.com/post/19395726078/friday-find-singularity Its a time when man has the potential to become immortal, where nanotechnology allows for people to manipulate the world and their surroundings at their whim, when a virtual reality, can become ones true reality, and when anyone can travel the universe as gods... But the line between humanity, and something potentially much greater has become blurred, and a man unwilling to take that final step, to evolve, finds himself left behind in a world technologically far beyond the point where he can live out a normal, human life. For better or for worse, this is the end of humanity as we have known it, the result of a single event... The Singularity.

Safety is an instinct of the human mind. Revolution is an instinct of the human soul. Artius: Full of the latest technology, the trendiest fashions, the sexiest people, and the best security force there is. It's a sparkling metropolis that could very easily be compared to paradise. But little do the people of Artius know or care that their beloved city is merely a façade. Concealed by all of the intricacies and delicacies of city life is a warped system where anyone not rich enough to keep up with the times is sent to the Outcity: a place full of scum and hard labor. The only thing the city folk do know about the outcity people is that they're dirty, poor, and not worth the resources they use. So when the Agents spring their campaign promising to degrade the outcity dwellers even further while boosting the city people higher and higher, they are an instant hit. The reason? Cedrik Shields, the most charismatic speaker in Artius. But in the shadows works a different force. It's the stirrings of a rebellion, so faint that you might think you imagined it. But it's there. They work in secret, forming connections and alliances with all the people who feel that the Agents are one thing: trouble. Bain O'Neal lives in the city, but he knows that the Agents are bad news, so he coordinates with the outcity force in the hopes that they'll be able to mass together a Rebellion. But on one of his runs, he's caught by the Agents. To fight for justice in a world that wants nothing more than to bury you in a deep hole and never look your way again is a hard thing. But those who revolt must always remember one thing: "All the forces in the world are not so powerful as an idea whose time has come."- Victor Hugo NOTE: KEEP NOTE OF THE CHAPTER TITLES TO SEE WHO IS NARRATING THE CHAPTER.
