Let Them In is a collection of thematically-related short horror concerning wilderness, temptation, and the unexplained. Spirits, monsters, mysteries, and things unnamed can all be found within these stories, asking for admittance past thresholds of the home or head. Whatever you do, do not let them in. The Dog at the Door: A person waiting out winter in a small cabin takes in a strange dog. The Other Passengers: A shortcut home leads a man to become lost on a lonely backwoods road at night. The Edges: When a boy is left home alone, some new friends come to visit. When the Dead Walk: For one night a year, the dead do not sleep. The Prospect House: A once-acclaimed hotel, the Prospect House closed in 1903, two decades after its opening. What events led to its demise? The Blue-Stocking Game: Probably fine. Perfectly safe. A Clean Cut in the Bloated Flesh: Livestock falls over dead and strange apparitions are seen as a small town is covered in a plague of flies. Ribbereye: The call came long and low over the hills. He couldn't identify it, but it filled him with dread.

Catherine has never been in love before, but now that she's fallen, she's fallen hard. Of course, she has no idea how to win over her crush, and her own nerves are making it extremely difficult not to screw up. Fortunately, other forces are also conspiring for the lovers to be together... forever. A humorous love story or a romantic humor story or something that is neither of those two, "Star-Crossed Cultists" is a study in hilarious failures, dangerous occult beings beyond the scope of human comprehension, and the power of love. A completed work. Note: At the time I wrote this, I was not aware that the death of gay women was a common trope in media with a number of unfortunate implications (e.g., that gay women don't deserve to find happiness and live). Please be warned before reading this story. (To be clear up front - it is not truly a romance. It was intended to be surrealist comedy that happened to have lesbians, but I ended up playing into a problematic and weirdly common trope. I'm sorry about this.)
