A long time ago, there was a little girl named Violet Bloodsworth. Her mother and father were rich, and her mother was a scientist. One day Violet's mother brought her to the lab she worked at to see if she was interested in any of the careers there. But Violet found a strange vile with pitch-black liquid. She mistook it for juice and drank it. Now there's a plague slowly corrupting her, and she was forced to stay in the laboratory for experiments. But now she's gaining abilities, abilities that could hurt people. How will she survive in a world that is unready for a being beyond comprehension? (warning, this story gets really, really dark.)

(quick notes: this takes place around the first five books in the Wings of Fire book series so dragons like LeafWings, HiveWings and SilkWings weren't known yet.) There was a prophecy, six Dragonets were born to end the war between the three rival queens of the SandWings. A SeaWing with the egg of deepest blue, a MudWing with the egg the color of dragon blood. A hidden SandWing egg, a large SkyWing egg in the mountains. A NightWing with stars like splashes of water, and a DayWing with the color of the brightest clouds. These six eggs are born on the Brightest Night, to finally put an end to the war. It's the Dragonets of Destiny's decision of who the next SandWing queen will be, but things have gone terribly wrong. The SkyWing egg was destroyed by Queen Scarlet, so they replaced it with a RainWing instead, the SandWing was defective, the MudWing was too soft, the SeaWing was incredibly bossy, the NightWing always had his nose in a scroll, and the DayWing didn't live up to her tribes standards. How is Cloud going to fulfill the prophecy when she couldn't even have visions like the NightWings and other DayWings?
