Hell, it was a miracle neither of the three parents brought it up since they were children and had helped choose a "ring" and plan out the wedding with them. This, of course, was never forgotten by either, even when Katsuki pushed Izuku away or when they began their odd deal. Unfortunately, in the aftermath of their class, and Monoma, learning about their monetary deals and their parents excited for their rebuilt friendship, the teasing of their childhood engagement came back in full force...with their parents sending them back to the dorms after visits with various weddings items to choose from like invitation designs, outfits, etc. It was very embarrassing, especially when their old kindergarten wedding photos were sent to the dorm with them and discovered.

Katsuki had been giving Izuku money and gifts since part way through Middle School in exchange for the green-haired boy to stay away from Katsuki, but eventually, it slowly changed to be deals that if Katsuki gives Izuku money, he had to do XYZ. Essentially, Izuku walks up to Katsuki and asks him about some merch he wanted and Katsuki gave him the money for it in exchange for him to do various things like triple check his homework, go to bed at a reasonable hour, stop eating unhealthy food for X amount of days, etc. This didn't change when they entered UA, the two used to being subtle about this unique aspect of their relationship. Little did they know that their classmates were more aware of their surroundings than their Middle School classmates and had begun to notice the odd interactions between the two followed by Izuku being ordered around by Katsuki.
