Konohagakure Academy is owned by one of the world's richest people. It is a high-class school that only accepts the best students. No one knows just how insane the students are. Sakura's education privileges and opportunities are threatened when she finds herself together with the famous Uchiha Sasuke, a down-to-earth jerk, and the infamous Uzumaki Naruto, a guy who can practicallycause trouble with every step. All Kiba and Ino ever wanted was to get their crushes' attention, but then the new kids got in the way. Hinata, shunned and called weak, has been trying to make herself even stronger for the sake of her father, then suddenly, she finds the inspiration to. Tenten has just faced a death of her aunt, and now she's going to a normal school with her newfound comrade, Neji (which may or may not be a bad thing). But now they've got new problems to face: a broken alliance, the reformation of the Akatsuki, a power-hungry snake plotting against them, and a betrayal of a friend. Konohagakure is indeed a fine school that prepares them for the future, but it can do nothing to prevent the past from coming back and haunting them.

[Discontinued] "A team? I only just requested to be put back into the Jonin forces." A confused sixteen year old stated, standing across from the Sandaime Hokage. The boy was dressed in the stereotypical ANBU outfit, mask and everything. Sarutobi Hiruzen chuckled, relaxing back into his chair with his pipe between his lips. "We have a shortage of Jonin willing to teach this year. It will be good experience for you." "Don't Jonin usually get Genin when they're in their twenties? I'm only sixteen. The brats won't ever take someone that's only four years older than them seriously." The ANBU tried to reason, but there was no changing the old man's mind. "Just try it out, Kansei. If they don't pass your test, they go back to the Academy anyway." The Sandaime reasoned, making the ANBU sweatdrop. Letting out a sigh, the masked boy nodded. "Alright, Hokage-sama. I pick up the little shits at three, right?" After the Hokage nodded, the ANBU held up a hand before disappearing in a flash of silver light. The Hokage just chuckled, turning his chair so that it faced the village. 'Kansei will sure have his hands full, that's for sure.' He thought, smirking at the young ex-ANBU's misfortune.

[Old Title: Mafian in a Ninja World?... Great. Changed: Nov. 5, 2013 at 5:14 pm] Year: 2033 Place: Japan The name's Kenji. Kenji Moriyama. I was your typical, international criminal wanted by numerous goverments across the planet. Okay, not very typical, but in times like these, who cares? As a top hacker apart of the yakuza and mafia, you might infer that I'm intelligent, witty, a smooth talker, and maybe even slightly dangerous. Most of these traits are more or less, accurate. However, it was all put to the test one daunting night, in which my known knowledge rendered naught. Perhaps if that peculiar-eyed man, a so called "ninja," had not thrown me into this planet of turmoil, my sanity would still be intact. But all great things come to an end, or live on in memory. The lust for blood in this world is killing me, if the sheer amount of danger here is not already. But maybe if I lay low, watch, I'll live long enough to get back home. Or I'll die trying. [Kenji is not who you think she might be! :)] (Won 3RD place in the 2014 Naruto Wattys, and 2ND place in the 2015 Naruto Wattys!!) Warning: Explicit content in Chapter 2. If you don't like torture scenes, skip and read the end of the chapter. :)

After a few years of Kurama's attack; Naruto disappeared. No one knew where he went, but no one dared to look for him. In fact, they were glad he wasn't in the village. The only ones concerned about his wellbeing was the Hokage: Sarutobi Hiruzen. At the age of six, Naruto returned to the village; pretending to be dumb, to be a knucklehead and pulling pranks. In reality, he's there on a mission. A mission no one knows about. He joins the academy to learn about everyone, even the teachers. In terms with Naruto's return the Hokage didn't question his disappearance but only smile at the small boy with open arms.

****Winner of the Most Popular Naruto Fanfic Watty Award 2013/14**** **Currently being rewritten as the original is old and awful in this author's opinion** A coming of age story about a young Ninja, confused and hurt by the instances in her past, struggling to find her place and figure out what it all means. Can the kindness of a new Village warm a heart that time has taught to be cold and cruel? Can new friendships replace broken bonds, lost to the past? Is it safer to stay, or is it safer to run? A story not about one's physical strength, or of obtaining great power, but a story of overcoming and learning to change as old wounds heal.
