University professor Cora Glass may be an expert on the topic of red/green colorblindness, but when her walking red flag of an ex shows up on campus, is she smart enough to say no to a second chance? *** Three years ago, scientist Cora Glass met a stranger over cocktails in an airport hotel lobby. His name was Jamie Bowen: an irresistible charmer with a talent for impersonating men he'd never be - and the only man who ever succeeded in breaking Cora's heart. Their fiery relationship flamed out years ago, but forgetting about Jamie is a different story. Seeking a change of scenery, Cora accepts a junior faculty position at prestigious Wallingford University and throws herself into her research with single-minded focus. She couldn't be less interested in the campus gossip surrounding the hot new professor who just joined the English department. That is, until she sees him, and he turns out to be none other than... her ex? But the man who won her heart three years ago was a high school dropout, not a PhD. Jamie could only be at Wallingford now as an impostor - and Cora's determined not to let him drag her into whatever game he's playing. ONC 2023 Contest Prompts: 51. The problem with red flags is that I'm attracted to them. 63. A rivalry between two coworkers has unforeseen consequences. 6. Can we go back to the start when we were all strangers in the dark?

It's hard to believe that a boy who didn't believe in love and a boy who didn't believe he could love himself would have much to learn from each other. But it would turn out that way, of course; with everything to gain and even more to lose. As it turned out, both Liam and Jamie needed to learn not to trust the dim lights and neon nights. This is a backwards love story.

Welcome to the wonderful world of writing on Wattpad! This is Wattpad, not the Olympics, so there's no need to panic. Anyone can try it, no training required. Writing doesn't have to be complicated, and you don't have to be a graduate of some fancy university, but there are a few guidelines that will make things easier for you and your readers. I have tips for beginners who paid as little attention in English as I did, as well as details on things I've learned over the years. Anyone can write a story. I never thought I would write anything, but I tried it and - much to my surprise - I found it very relaxing and entertaining. Feel free to skip around the chapters to find sections that interest you. You are also welcome to skim everything in case you find a hidden gem of advice. Please note that my writing tips follow the Chicago Manual of Style writing guide (you are free to use a different guide - keeping things consistent is the biggest thing).

❝You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to face them.❞ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ After wiping out on the waves and spending the last six months in a physical therapy centre recovering, pro-surfer Thalia Monroe, heads to the small coastal town of Sandy Cove to escape the limelight. Still recovering mentally from her near-death experience, getting back on the waves has not come back to her as easy as she hoped. Maybe all it takes to get back on the board is a local, Atlas Hayes, who wants to show her that maybe the strength she's been looking for has been there all along. One thing Thalia wasn't expecting was that falling in love is like surfing a wave, it's an adrenaline rush that can throw you ten feet under.

Currently on pause due to revising and publishing) Daniel was always known at school as the loser nerd. He's only ever had one friend in his life and she moved when they were kids so he since then he's been all alone. Miles has always been popular. Playing football, getting invites to parties, and even just being one of the hottest guys in school has its perks. But there comes a time in every closeted man's life when he can't hide his feelings for someone anymore. Through the rain and storms that come through, they're always there for one another. There will be much hate, love, and drama when it comes to these two lovebirds, but the question is if they love each other so much they can fight through it together.

Watson Young has always been a bright kid, no one could deny that, but even the most intelligent people can make the dumbest mistakes. Keep the dumbest secrets hidden. Watson was rather good at that, considering that no one knows about the stuff he deals with at home. Elijah Andrews, one of the wealthiest kids in the school, but doesn't necessarily describe Elijah, no, that describes his financial state. Elijah's not stupid, he knows his friends are pretty fake, seen the drooling stare with money in their eyes, blinding them from seeing Elijah as something more than walking money. Elijah had a busy schedule, which was probably why he never noticed Watson, the small cello player in the school's orchestra. He never saw the guy who sat in the back of his classes, never speaking a word to everyone. But neither did anyone else, if they had, maybe they would have noticed the bruises covering Watson's arms from a mixture of bullies and his drunken father. What happens when the school's wealthiest attendee notices the quiet cello playing boy with too many unexplainable bruises?
