on june 2nd 2013 frank iero took his own life. he left a wreckage behind, pieces that his former lover gerard way can't put back together he left almost nothing behind, no indication what so ever, nothing. except a small black box, behind gerard way's bookshelf containing everything frank iero ever wanted to say before he took his life. Frank Iero is a mess-plain and simple. He isn't living, just surviving, and even though no seventeen-year-old should feel this way, he can't seem to snap out of it. Frank knows his life is going nowhere, so he wastes his nights away at the local bar, drowning his problems in a drink and hooking up with anyone who looks at him twice. He doesn't care if he is being a slut-Frank just loves sex. He actually feels wanted, even if it's only for an hour or two. But when one thing leads to another, and Frank finds his way into his own teacher's bed, will he finally discover everything he has been looking for, or will it all end in disaster? ~~~ Teacher/Student AU *trigger warning for drinking, self-harm, mental illnesses, depression, etc.*

Frank is twenty eight: he's mentally stable for the most part, and well nobody has to know about pills he takes twice a day, do they? He's normal now, he's a person now, he's a fucking adult with an office job and he fucking hates it and that's fine, because he got out of the mental hospital three years ago, and these past three years of mundane nothingness have been the best three years of his life. Ten years ago, or so, Frank was in love with a boy called Gerard with fiery red hair and the personality of a switchblade knife, and ten years ago that boy called Gerard had killed himself. Frank still saw him though: hallucinations, as he knew them to be now, and it took him years in a hospital he never thought he'd get out of to convince himself of his newfound sanity, but he was okay now. Twenty eight year old Frank Iero had been officially 'okay' since he was twenty five. He hadn't seen Gerard again, and he didn't even think about the guy - he was just normal, and he was almost painfully content with being the secretary to someone with a five figure salary. But of course, on one fateful morning in December, that has to go and change, doesn't it? (Technically a sequel to Summertime, but I wouldn't say you need to have read Summertime to understand and enjoy this)

"You can run away with me, anytime you want." I want to get away. Away from the abuse at home, at school hell, but we're not friends. I could never be friends with Gerard Way. He's just some guy that fate seems to drive me towards. His brother may be even more of asshole than him, making my school life living hell and I guess things at home are not too great either. And despite how much of an asshole Gerard Way is, he's the only one that seems to make anything better.

Gerard Way aka geethanks, aka the shitty tumblr blogger on well, tumblr. He blogs day and night about cats and doesn't don't do anything useful in his life except make puns that make you cringe internally, and draws the most spectacular things. Oh yeah, he's got red hair brighter than his future but then again his future is looking as bright as his laptop screen at night. Frank Iero aka the cocaine addict aka frankioero, smokes too many cigarettes, listens to music too loudly, and blogs on tumblr more than a straight man should. His clothes are just tragic, and he's got callouses on his fingers from the guitar. Gerard knows he's fallen off the spectrum but Frank likes to say "Frank Ihetro!" or "I'm not gay!" but when Frank realises that his most favourite tumblr user goes to his school, he thanks the gods, and imagines he's been blessed. Gerard is free, and Frank is high. That means a motherfucking road trip. They've got all of the summer holidays, and Frank is fucking sick of guilttripping. They want to get far away, as far away as possible - perhaps to visit Gerard's mystical great aunt Shirley, in where? Whitehorse, Canada. No map, no phone, all they've got is each other, thirteen packets of cigarettes and 590 dollars. They might met some weird fucking people, and they might crash on the Alaska highway, they might fuck in a car and they might have to steal gasoline.
