You may not be familiar with me; thus, this story may not be of interest to you. But, if you've ever been an immigrant, you'll understand. You'll find this worth reading and sharing. Hopefully, you'll realize you are not alone in this journey. I never imagined myself living in another country as a child; to be honest, I was content with my life, friends, family, and culture. I wasn't sure if the United States existed or if there was a country other than Haiti. After all, I was only a child, and I already had everything I desired. Before you jump to conclusions, let me say that I am extremely grateful to be a citizen of the United States. But I just wanted to share my story of how far I've come and how much more I still need to learn. P.S: I truly hope my journey inspires someone
