"My Mentalist" were apparently the words of his new personal circle of Hell. They were nice, made him feel warm inside, but also hurt, because Senku wasn't aware of the heavy truth behind them.

Sure, he should have seen it coming miles away from Ryusui's enthusiasm to revive this Sai guy, but he had more than enough motives to be reasonably distracted. They had a rocket to build, a Whyman to defeat and a civilization to restore... and maybe, just maybe, what little was left of his concentration was being used for trying to understand what had happened between Gen and him.

Senku didn't know if he had done anything to provoke it, but lately he felt Gen wasn't looking at him the way he used to. In fact, he hardly ever did, almost as if he was avoiding him for some reason.
