16-year-old, Macy Ann Louise Uley has been sent to La Push, Washington to 'get in touch' with her original roots; well that's what her mother is telling her. The truth is she's been sent there for bad behavior. What she thinks will be a very boring trip menifests itself into an unexected journey of twists and turns. And it turns out her Uncle is holding out on way more than she thought, her father isn't the man she thought he was, and her half-sister knows a lot more than she does. While Macy stays at her Uncles, she finds her old friend Jacob and begin to rebuild her friendship with the old pal. But Jacob seems to be too pre-occupied with Bella almost to a point where he is purposely blocking Macy out. But that is the least of her worries, when a friend moves back into the picture, this time with dark motives that somehow link with the Cullens, La Push, Forks and maybe even the infamous newborns.
