As if life wasn't hard enough being bullied and treated like garbage all the time; my loathsome, insufferable seat mate just had to come with his "secrets" and torture my every waking hour. What's the big deal you say? Nothing except for the fact that he's some insanely beautiful Greek God under those nerdy glasses. And now, he lives next door. I'm Sarah and this is my story. Disclaimer: This story was written in 2011. Just so you know.

Kennedy (Kenna) isn't known for her beauty. She's never been complimented on her appearance unless being called beautiful by your family counts, and to Kenna- it doesn't. Sick of being ignored because of her looks, Kennedy gives herself a makeover but it isn't very successful. After encountering a crying Marissa Rivers on the behalf of her obnoxious brother, Noah, she becomes acquaintances with the girl. After a chat about Kenna's failed efforts at makeup and how she's a nondrinker, she offers Kenna the help of her and her friends. Kenna graciously agrees but there's a catch. Kenna will have to be the girls' designated driver to the next few parties that they want to attend until she can do her own makeup which may take a while but what happens when Kenna accidentally gets drunk at one of the parties and Noah has to bring her and the other girls back to their home? She gets involved in a lot more than she planned. And it seems as if all she wanted was to become beautiful.

We all have that one person who got away. It could be someone you saw in a grocery store, buying the chocolate you were craving for or eating your favorite ice cream. And when you just got the courage to talk to him/her, they slipped away before you even got the chance to say 'hi'. It could be the person you were crushing on since forever and just when you were about tell them, they disappear without a trace. It could even be your ex, if you had to let go of him/her for the good of your relationship. Or it could be a loved one that passed away... But whatever the situation, we all have them. And this is the story of Piper and Blake and how they were each others 'one that got away'. But at the same time, they were also each others' 'one that came to stay'. (WARNING: The first few chapters are filled with typos, errors, and fluff. It's currently under editing. But if you still want to read this, go ahead. I ain't stopping you xD)

Laci walked through the hallways like she owned the place. Her hot pink heels clicked for every step she took. Everyone became silent when they heard the clicks coming down the hallway. She normally never walked alone, always followed by her posse. But today, she was followed by no one. Only her heels were heard, no boot stomps, no squeaky sneakers, no other heels. Everyone in the halls watched as she entered the cafeteria, her short, pink skirt flowing as she walked. She pushed the double doors wide open and entered, with her head held high. The loud, ruckus was silent as she entered. The swift moving bodies, became still. Laci walked to the center table with the piece of paper in her hand. The people at the center table moved aside as Laci climbed up the bench onto the top of the table. She stomped her foot a few times to silence the rest of the people. "Attention Penscott Student Body!" Everything was silent as her red lips moved smoothly. Every breath was held. Foot silent. Mouth closed. Body still. "The List is done!" Her lips turned up into a smile as the entire student body hollered and cheered. Regan reached for Jamysen's hand and stood up to escape from the scene. Regan dragged Jamysen from the table and out into the hall. "Regan, what's 'The List'?" She questioned as her ragged Vans screeched across the floor. Regan stopped after they got halfway to their Home Room and turned to face Jamysen. "Jamysen. The List is just a piece of paper that Laci, Maisy, and Aurora wrote on. Got it?" The Sophmore nodded her head as she listened intently to what her cousin was saying, "But, The List is going to ruin your life."

Thirty-seven-year-old John Morgan's personal life is already in disarray when he receives a phone call that his brother and niece are dead. His relationship with his father is nearly nonexistent, he barely speaks to his sister, and he has no real friends to lean on. As the tragic news slowly begins to sink in, John realizes he is floating aimlessly in the middle of an unpredictable sea of emotions with no one to rescue him. In this compelling tale that movingly illustrates the devastating effects of a dysfunctional family, John must learn to change what he can, accept what he cannot, and make the difficult decision to leave some things behind. I'm excitedly working on a second novel. Thanks for checking out my work. PS: for those that wish to own my book it can be purchased in multiple formats and found on various major online distribution channels. Thank you!
