She filled his life with hope and purpose and for once Issei finally felt a sense of welcome in her peerage, it felt like he naturally belonged there, to stay among them. But one couldn't always wish for butterflies and rainbows, that happened for Issei in the form of Riser. He dread when Rias uttered the word, "He's my fiancee", his world came crahing down but not all of it. When he saw the pure hatred in her eyes for the blond haired man Issei felt it comforting. Yet he couldn't defend her honor as in the rating game against Riser they had lost, Rias had given up and re-signed from the game in hopes to save him, it made him feel even more guiltier than ever. He found his solace when Grayfia came to offer him a way out and he gladly too it with a sense of moral duty. Giving up his own arm in the process Issei managed to get into a one on one fight against Riser with the help of the Lucifer's manipulation. After a long struggle Issei had finally defeat the immortal flame bird by using Holy Water and a Holy cross that he had taken from Asia, he had dons it, he has saved his master, his saving gracw. Yet thing's didn't go as the way he wanted them to go.
