After Rory's graduation from Yale, she and Logan went their separate ways. What happens when life brings them back together a year later and what happens when that meeting results in something life changing for both of them?

Logan centric fanfic that takes place a three years after season 7. He's back in NYC trying to launch a new business with his friends Colin and Finn. He's out from his father's grasp, trying to make it on his own, but his heart still has some mending to do from the way he left things with Rory. Unexpectedly the two will meet again, but with too much baggage between them, the two start off as friends - until one day that is no longer believable. Later might be switched to Mature rating.

This story is set in the future, which makes both Rory and Logan around their mid-forties. Despite having lived a large chunk of their lives just a few degrees of separation from each-other, they've never actually met (AU). At least not knowingly. They've both had their careers, relationships, as well as kids. Now at a new stage of their lives, they both find themselves away from their everyday lives at a fresh setting in Maine and their minds unusually idle, pondering what is the mystery behind this new person who seems to be just out of reach. Pregnancy, marriage, and a very classic fluffy love story is not the goal of this story. But I don't want to make this very angst-filled either, just... hoping to try something different. A more mature romance. Also I have no intention of painting the image of these two as flawless people - so I am sorry for that in advance if you don't approve of their present or past choices. But I do hope to show a stronger, more confident, Rory in this compared to some of my former stories. Not everything in their OS backstories applies here, I'll try to point out the information vital to understanding them as we go. If there are any questions, please ask. A mostly Post-AYITL (in part AU). Through unexpected circumstances Logan's and Rory's paths cross where they least expect it. Will a social occasion lead them back into each-other's arms against all odds and their history of angst? Will include Gigi & Finn pairing in the background (maybe some might remember my story about Finn & Gigi in Melbourne I had posted for a while. This is a new take on their story, transforming this into the backgroun of this ROGAN story. AN: Not everyone will like this, and I am aware of that. Will involve complex relationships where certain actions are not so black and white. Aim to make this a slow burn. Eventually though I want to make it a fixer and include healthy communication. Rory centric story that takes place mostly in Stars Hollow. Small-town charm and quirk, mixed with starting her life over in a new role as a mother. For me she is not perfect - and I don't expect to make her one. There will be guys we all know and love in this story, and while there'll be some angst, romance and opportunity mixed in - this story is not about this becoming a ROGAN or Literati or any other ship. On that front I'll just leave you guessing where'll she'll end up. Life is a process not a fixed happy-ever-after outcome.
