Clara notices something about both their heartbeats.

Clara's eyes are squeezed shut; a few tears slip out and drip onto the rail she is bracing herself on with dull metallic pings. Her shoulders shake with mirth, her back heaves with now-silent laughter. At some point she decides to breathe again, a loud, quavering gasp, only to release another ridiculously loud cackle. The Doctor chuckles again, enjoying the scene unfolding in front of him.
