It was not her choice to cross the Parapet so young, and let alone with her condition; Hypoglycaemia. a condtion which can lead to serious blood sugar drops. and not only that but Xaden haas lied to everyone. About Kaia. They don't even know she exists until she steps off the Parapet... Kaia's story was inspired by many things, the urge to want to write, to want to be a part of the world Rebecca Yarros created and a way to show myself that I can do something great. Kaia has the same condition that I do, and luckily I've never had to go through the things that Kaia has with Hypoglycaemia, but lots of it is based off personal experience.
