Then the Duke returns to seek revenge, and he brought along some unwanted friends. They are after Elsa, and then Hans shows up to help. The legend says Love will Thaw a Frozen Heart, but is it really possible she can love him, after everything he has done? Can she find it in herself to Thaw his Frozen Heart and thaw Arendelle? Or will she condemn them to death, fleeing for the rest of her life?

It's three years after the Great Thaw, and Hans is working as Elsa's personal guard. Their relationship is strong, bound by trust and understanding. Meanwhile, Anna and Kristoff are happily married and Arendelle is thriving. Hans knows he loves Elsa, and she loves him, but there's something that won't stop bugging him... the thought that Anna never really did fully forgive him. This is book one of the Iceburns series.

At the beginning of the story Hans has escaped from Arendelle's jail and Elsa has to go searching for him. Years after Prince Hans has returned to the Southern Isles, life for Queen Elsa and Princess Anna seems to have blossomed. Elsa still doesn't have a love interest and doesn't really care for having a man in her life. Anna's life has just begun with marrying Kristoff and now expecting their first child in a few months. What will come of their lives when Hans returns to Arendelle?
