A cult of brainwashed players. A rouge watcher that leads them. And their plans to invade a new server and take control. When Xisumavoid, the admin of Hermitcraft, is warned that a cult known as the Silver Sun is planning on invading his server, he must do everything he can to prevent the leader of the cult from slipping their influence into Hermitcraft. If they do, the Silver Sun will take hold, and their server could be lost to the watcher's control. Everything is on the line, as the hermits must endure the power of the Silver Sun, which only grows stronger every day. The past will be revealed. The present will be treacherous. The future will be changed. Either the hermits stand up and fight. Or they lose it all.

This story takes place in the timeline after Evo, where Grian goes through the update portal and ends up in Hermitcraft instead of with the rest of his friends. Desperately missing Taurtis, Grian tries to live to the fullest in Hermitcraft, but his other Hermits quickly start to realize something is wrong. Grian was surrounded by the hermits, swords pointed. The boy frowned at the man in front of him, "I didn't kill him." His tone was clearly annoyed. "shut it watcher, we know your tricks." their youngest hermit who joined the server had left their server after staying a week. He was overpowered by his fellow hermits who had accused him of murder. "grian! that's grian!" the hermits who fled to find their youngest soon faced a replica of the shopping district. it was clearly deserted, yet somehow full of life. the missing hermit who they saw on a random window sill lay his head on a table, in each seat was an armour stand with different positions and different heads. this was his life for over 3 years. Xelqua is a part of the council of watchers and admins but when there are strange glitches in code that can't be traced. He meets a mysterious person who saves his life who seems to be extremely powerful but they showed up right after more glitches have shown up. Can they be trusted? December 31st. The cursed day. While most families were still enjoying the cheers of christmas, 30 kids, no more, no less would be taken from their homes. They would be trained to become watchers- powerful being with a heart as hard as bedrock, and a soul harder than obsidian. Surely Techno and Grian weren't chosen? But luck was never on their side. TWs: Blood, torture, mentioned suicide, kidnapping, panic attacks, self harm. No shipping, only brother-like relationships for close characters.

Grian has been living with the Hermits for years. Long enough he thinks he has escaped his past for good. He hasn't, of course. And when his past caches up to him, the Hermits are left to pick up the pieces.
