The Battle of Hogwarts is over, and Voldemort no longer endangers the Golden Trio. Hermione knew that everything would change drastically after the war, however when she returns to Hogwarts with the second chance of her seventh year, her life turns upside down with a new love interest. Will their relationship withstand the problems that are undoubtedly crashing down on them? However, her twisted love triangle is the least of her problems. Even though the Dark Lord has gone, forces from the dark side still linger and threaten everyone Hermione loves.

Hermione know's Ron would be happy if she chose Harry but she can't ignore her feelings for Draco. She thinks and believes she loves Draco but she needs to hide her feelings and vulnerability from Draco when he sets her up and gets her kidnapped under his fathers orders. The sound of war, fighting, death and blood melted away so Hermione could only hear the thud as Ron's body hit the floor as he ceased to live. His skin became pale. His eyes stared straight at the ceiling, lifeless and dull. Hermione crawled towards him, tears refused to leave her eyes. He wasn't dead. He couldn't be. He was Ron. Her one and only love. She touched his chest and felt the coldness seep into her.

The Golden Trio and their friends are all back to finish their last and final year at Hogwarts after the traumatic Second Wizarding War. However, when Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy are selected as Head Boy and Head Girl, the two enemies are inevitably forced to spend time together for the concluding year. Additionally, they unknowingly still face the impending threat of what is left of Lord Voldemort's dark forces. In spite of the turbulent year that is to come, Hermione soon discovers the real complexity of post-war Draco while Draco discovers new feelings and hope in his troubled life.
