The dead have been waking for years now, and I still haven't gotten used to the smells. The sound. The feeling of dead things watching me as I eat, sleep, breath. It started three years ago, I think... yes, this is the third summer. Ugh, summer. Summer is a cursed gift. They rot away so much quicker, but the smell... God, the smell... --------------------------------------------------------------------- (I was supposed to publish this for a one shot competition like two years ago lol. I fell in love with Saving Elliot by @Northbynorth and when she had a fanfic contest I was all over it. But I didn't have the confidence to actually post it.... Better late than never I suppose. Here's Elliot and Elliot, set in a post-zombie-apocalyptic world. If you haven't read Saving Elliot you should totally check it out. She's editing it, so it's not finished anymore, but it's a great read. Seriously, go follow @northbynorth and read #SavingElliot. There's going to be a little bit of love, quite a bit of loss, and some adventure in there somewhere. I don't really know where I want this story to go, but I'm sure it'll be fun.
