Giyuu is with his useless boyfriend who treats him badly but manipulates Giyuu to stay with him. One night this boyfriend forces Giyuu to go with him to an underground fight ring, while they are watching the fight his boyfriend disappears and Giyuu notices and decides to act out on it. He eventually finds him in the bathroom hooking up with some, cheating on Giyuu. Giyuu gets pissed and storms off, being followed by his now ex-boyfriend who is begging for him back, they start to argue on their way out as the fight ends and the ex-boyfriend gets pissed and tries to hit Giyuu and as Giyuu is. accepting the fact he is going to get hit, something, more like someone stops the strike before it lands on Giyuu. it was the winner of the fight. He is tall, well built, covered in scars, white hair, and muted purple eyes. He was handsome and charming and dealt with the ex pretty quickly and then went to hit on Giyuu and try to ask him out but Giyuu is not entertained, thanks him, and leaves. About an hour later he has to go into work as he is called in for an emergency, one of his jobs is working as a bartender in a club, and since this club is popular he does run into someone he met only an hour before. That same fighter, he learns his name is Sanemi Shinazugawa. From that moment on Sanemi tries his best to take Giyuu out and take care of him, Giyuu is intrigued but doesn't plan to fall for him that easy.

Giyuu and Sanemi have now been married for almost three years, but sense it's around 1926-30 they kept it a secret. They acted like they hated each other out in public but when they were alone they were quite close. On one of Giyuu's missions a family had been killed, except for a little boy who looked like he was only a year old. So they took him in caring for his as there own. Only a few Kakushi know who are excepting of them and stay at there shared estate to help take care of there new son. But how long can they hide their secret? In this au, Giyuu is not the water hashira, but Sabito is. They both passed final selection but due to Giyuu's eye injury he is blind in his left eye and keeps a bandage around it. He has a mellowed out personality but smiles and expresses his emotions. Sanemi Shinazugawa is preforming the hashira training and since all ranks have to participate he met Giyuu and was instantly wooed by Giyuu's strength, he saw Giyuu as an angle to the point Giyuu kept leaving an imprint on his mind. He was an angle with an angle's smile. :)
