FYI this book was originally drafted when I was much younger so spelling and punctuation mistakes are inevitable, I tried to catch them out but I am just unable to see mistakes in my own writing, so apologies for that. These books will be more gory than the original WoF series but still acepptable for readers above 13, they are kind of meant to be for people a bit older than what was intended with the original WoF. I will and am trying my best to keep the writing style and lore close to how Tui. writes it to make it feel more like you are reading a real continuation of her books. It's been forty years since the War of the Sandwing Succession, and Pyrrhia has been at some moderate peace. Gelid is Queen Blizzard's personal bodyguard. Young, loyal, reckless and determined, Gelid will do anything to keep her queen safe. It is the 30th annual Winter-Spring celebrations where rainwings and icewings came together as friends with the same interests in mind. But the celebration is in danger. After the celebrations are attacked, it's up to Gelid to figure it out before her Queen gets hurt and the relations between the icewings and rainwings and the rest of Pyrrhia explode in turmoil. But before she knew it, old friend of Queen Blizzard's past is back to kill her, half the dragon tribes are on the brink of war with the rest of Pyrrhia and... Snowflake was a normal icewing dragonet. Blueish-white scales and a disciplined, icy personality, living within his parent's sixth circle. As normal as normal can get. He had no idea how much his life was about to change. His goal was to become the highest ranked adult dragon in his family, and his dream was already in reach. He just turned six years old, and through hard work and tiresome training, he had made it to the top of the fifth dragonet circle. If only he could reach the fourth circle by his seventh birthday, he would be happy with being an upper-middle class citizen of the ice kingdom. However, there are many dragons attempting to thwart his success. The lowerclass icewings are jealous of his advancements, while the higherclass are skeptical. While dealing with these challenges, Snowflake discovers a strange rock after following a streak of light deep within the tundra. Upon touching the rock, his claws fill with power unlike any other. Food is plentiful, no one ever fights, and even in the midst of war, the kingdom is quiet. Chameleon would never expect anything bad to happen in the forest. A normal dragonet at first, Chameleon discovers that the RainWings are anything but nice. After a nasty encounter, he gains a snout deformity that affects his scales. He suddenly discovers that he has no respect, no friends, and no hope. Eventually, Chameleon is exiled for one simple reason: He is different from everyone else. And then the RainWings do something that Chameleon would never forgive them for. Brimming with fury, Chameleon sets out to prove everyone that indeed he is different- but better than them all. But nothing could prepare Chameleon for what he discovers out in the wilds of Pyrrhia- something so influential that not even Chameleon himself could grasp the true power of it. Don't tell a soul... Peacemaker was never deemed ordinary compared to most other dragonets. Still, one incident is all it took for him to fall down a rabbit hole of deception, guilt, memories, and an unexpected friend. Once Peacemaker gets an invitation to Jade Mountain Academy to get away from everything behind in the rainforest, he accepts. But as Peacemaker continues forward despite the incident, he soon is wrapped up in the results of the past and new problems in the future, where Peacemaker is forced to use his knowledge, intelligence, and lying capabilities to solve them. However, as fate keeps pressuring him in other directions, should he trust the visions leading him down a certain path, or can he find a way to break free from the chains? Is he able to trust in his new friends, or how far is he willing to continue alone until he cracks? A note from the Author: This is a Wings of Fire alternate universe and takes place after the events of Book 15 by years; none of these characters are mine(besides a few made-up dragons...I guess), and they belong to Tui Sutherland. Furthermore, this story was written post Arc 3 and before Arc 4 began in the canon Wings of Fire series. It is best to get rid of any context present in Arc 4 that may intertwine with the world of Peace and Its Shadow. In other words, until further notice, Arc 4 events and information are not canon. Additional Note: This story takes place years after, meaning these characters are significantly older than they are currently in the canon. Some romantic relationships appear in the story that you may or may not like, so be warned. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Additionally, some chapters feature artwork, particularly recent ones, and some drawings were created previously, while others were produced more recently.
