As the two grew into their teenage years, they developed feelings for each other, despite not being each other's soulmate. They were head over heels for one another, but refused to act upon said feelings. Now, centuries later, Loki is an Avenger, albeit a reluctant one, and is in a strange but loving relationship with fellow Avenger Bucky Barnes.
