Chase has a crush on Skye and everyone is aware, besides Skye. The other pups try to set the two up together and give Chase the confidence to tell her how he feels. When he finally does, his worst fear happens. Exactly what did happen? To make matters worse, there is a force keeping them apart and everyone finds out Skye had a terrible past. Chase is constantly being hated by the rest of the pups. He finally decides to run away where he was taken in by the secret organization, the Human-Canine International Coalition, or HCIC. He meets new friends and enemies while embarking on new missions that are harder and more action-packed than the ones he is used to. A great and evil force rises and gets the HCIC's attention. Little did Chase know that the target of the enemy is his home, Adventure Bay. Will Chase put aside the past and save his friends from danger? Will he return to the PAW Patrol? Find out! Chase, to protect his friends and family, did as he was told. He left without saying goodbye. Five years passed and the person who threatened Chase was finally gone, so Chase was able to return to Adventure Bay. However, there is one problem. The rest of the Paw Patrol thought had Chase had died. They never replaced Chase's spot out of grief. And when Chase returns after many years, the pups aren't sure if they should trust him anymore. Is Chase going to be able to regain their trust? How is Skye going to react? Will they ever trust him again? Or will things never go back to normal? Only time will tell.
